Welcome September!

Boy, have we had a crazy summer!!! I have really slacked on keeping everyone updated and posting pictures on our blog! I'm so sorry! We've been swimming, going to the library, play dates, gymnastics, going to the lake, vacationing in Florida, and just trying to keep rested up enough for baby #2. We found out last week that we're having another baby girl!! Blake and I can't agree on any names yet but as soon as we come up with something we'll let you know. I'm 20 weeks pregers now! Due date is set for January 27, 2009. It sounds so far away but I know it'll be here in a flash! Fall, my absolute favorite time of year, is just around the corner! And yes, I'm starting to put the decor out already. I want to enjoy it as long as I can! We've got a really busy schedule lined up for the rest of the year. OSU football games, Halloween, Thanksgiving, a bunch of my friends babies are due, Blake's hunting trips, Kyler's 2nd birthday, Blake's birthday, Disney World trip, Christmas, New Years, and a new baby! Weh, I'm exhausted just typing all of that! Anyway, I'll try harder to keep pictures posted more often and update you all on our crazy lives! Oh, this is Blake's new hunting toy...his newest "baby".

She loves her rice crispy teats!

We searched high and low for a nap mat for Kyler to take to school but no luck so we opted for a princess sleeping bag.

Kyler before her first day back at school. We tried to get a picture with her backpack but she fell over with it on and now she doesn't really like it.

She was so excited to go and meet her new classmates! Her daily report said that she played very well with others and seems to be extremely domestic. She spent most of the day playing the baby dolls and the kitchen area. Her school is right outside our neighborhood so now when we pass it she says "PLAY!"

I just thought this was funny.

Kyler is going to be in her first wedding this weekend! She is the flower girl in Blake Thorne and Tiffany Miller's wedding. This was last night at the rehearsal. I know she'll look extremely cute but I sure hope she does a good job!

She loves Jacob, the ring barer. He loves to dance so I think they'll become even better buddies at the reception!

She's actually supposed to stand on the bride side but she didn't want to let go of Jacob's hand.

April

Spring was so beautiful this year! I just love watching the trees go from naked to color!

Ready to head to the park! We've been stuck indoors all winter so we were really itching to get outside and play!

Kyler loves this car at the neighborhood park.

We went to the neighborhood pond one day with some of our friends to feed the ducks. Kyler was a little scared when they got really close.

Kyler looked so pretty before church so I decided to take her out for pictures. Kind of a weird facial but the child never smiles for the camera!

March

Kyler loves to sing into her microphone! You can't understand what she's singing but it's so precious!
We went out for St. Patricks Day with my friend Jenny. We went to Bricktown to eat and then hung out at her apt. Kyler had fun chasing Jenny's dog Blazey all around the place.

The week before Easter we went to the lake to spend some time with Blake's family. We baked and decorated cupcakes and even had an Easter egg hunt. The lake is so peaceful that time of year when no one's around!

The egg hunt was really fun to watch. Kyler and Ady kept dumping their eggs out and then picking them right back up...they thought that was hunting eggs. We didn't mind a bit that we didn't actually have to hide them over and over again!

Egg hunt #2! Our neighborhood puts on an Easter egg hunt every year. This was a first for us. It was really cute to see all the other little kids coming out to hunt and playing games. Although it was extremely cold, we still had a really good time and look forward to next years event!

Our friends Riley and Caden had their 5th birthday party at my parents house. They had a Jupiter Jump and a magician for entertainment.

Egg hunt #3...She's becoming a pro! We went to my parents for Easter Sunday this year. All the family gathered and as usual we had another egg hunt. She knew exactly what to do!

Our family pic after church. Kyler never smiles for the camera and is extremely frustrating!!

February Continued...

This is February continued....Blake and I had some friends up to the lake. It was so fun to see the boys play and entertain Kyler. They are all so good with her! Since it was still pretty cold outside we spent most of our time playing Rock Band...it was a blast! Miss Kyler had fun exploring the house and playing in the kitchen drawers! She's into everything!

Kyler and I went to the OKC Zoo with Megan and Jake. We had so much hanging out with them and seeing all the animals. Our favorite exhibit were the monkeys. They are so cute and funny! We even saw the chimp that my cousin Terra got to name. It was such a beautiful day and can't wait to take Kyler back soon!

Austin and Andrea joined us for our Valentines Dinner. Our meals were delicious!! We always have such a great time when they come to town.
(wow, Blake and I both need a tan!)

This was just a day in the backyard. She walked around collecting sticks and played with the dogs. She quite the explorer!

Ady came over for Valentines Day so that her mommy and daddy could go out on a date. We had so much fun with our mitts and aprons so we decided to bake some sugar cookies! They were yummy!

Play Date

Kyler and I met up with Carol and her 2yr old daughter Emerson at Quail Springs Mall this morning. The girls had so much fun playing on all the creatures and running around with all the other kids too. It was nice to visit with Carol and get to know each other a little better. They just moved to our neighborhood from Illinois in late November and I know it's no fun to move to a place where your friends aren't close. I was fortunate to have had atleast my sister-in-law Ashely to keep me company. Hopefully I can do the same for her.

Finally, an update!

It's been 2 months since my last post! Sorry to those of you who try to keep updated. I've been a slacker...kind of. I haven't posted any pictures because I lost them all. Blake got me an awesome new camera for Christmas and I took tons of pictures all through December and January. Well, my camera wasn't working right so Blake tried to fix it when he accidently erased EVERYTHING! I know it was an accident so I can't be too mad at him. I'm just waiting for family to send some pics that they took over the holidays. I'll post them as soon as they come in!

January went by so fast! Blake and I went out for New Years, Kyler had diarrhea for a straight week, Kyler's first time on a plane, went to Denver for a stock show, Kyler had her first snow experience, visited Tulsa for the weekend, saw the Doodlebops Live, Kyler and I had a cold for a week, and took a trip to minor emergency for Kyler's really high temperature to find out she had an ear infection.

I also started a womens bible study at Crossings Community Church which we've been attending for a while. The study is Stepping Up by Beth Moore. This is my first bible study and it's going great. I absolutly love Beth and her enthusiasum and passion. I am learning so much studying the Psalms of Ascent. In one of the lessons from this past week she really got my attention. Beth talked about one of her experiences in Africa. She said the people were so hungry that when they recieved seed, they often eat the seed rather than planting it and bringing forth the harvest. She compared that to our spiritual walk. Question: "Why have so many of us heard hundreds of messages on freedom, done every line of bible studies, wept over them, been blessed by them, and even memorized parts of them, yet remain in captivity?" Answer: "Because we ate the seed instead of sowing it." I realized that it's easy to plant a seed. The hard part is being patient and letting it grow. If we are patient, we shouldn't fear the outcome because there is always a harvest. That's a promise. I would recommend and encourage everyone to experience this study! You can download her video lessons at

February has just begun! We invited a bunch of our OSU buddies over to watch the Super Bowl, spent a lot of time playing ROCK BAND, and Kyler had her first day at her school. She's attending SaFe Day at Sante Fe Pres Church. The teachers said she did wonderfully! She's only going once a week on Wednesdays. I thought it would be good for her to get more interaction with kids her age and to be in a little different environment rather than home. Plus it'll be nice to have a few hours to do whatever I desire! Her teachers said that she befriended a little boy named Brody. She said she thinks they speak the same language because they spent all day together playing, talking, and laughing. I guess Brody kept making Kyler giggle throughout the day. I would love to be a fly on the wall!!

A Day At The Park

February 4, 2008 was a record breaking day for Oklahoma. With a high of 79 degrees, the park was filled with neighborhood kids. Kyler and I pulled out our shorts and sandals and spent to afternoon sliding, swinging, bouncing in the car, playing in the sand, getting trouble for eating the sand, rolling rocks down the slide, getting in trouble for putting the rocks in our mouth, and meeting some of the kids (and moms) of Homestead.

I just think this is cute. I couldn't get her to stop staring.

Here she is rolling the rocks down the slide.

Water break!

Adyson wanted Kyler to help her to build a sand castle but she kept messing up the pile.

This is Kyler, our new neighborhood friend, Emerson, and Adyson trying to build a castle.

I absolutley love love this picture!! It is so fun to watch the girls really interact with each other. I think it's funny to see Kyler follow Ady around! Before we know it, Kyler will have the new Bechtel baby cousin following her around!
